Welcome to the Office of IDEA focused on inclusion, diversity, equity and accessibility at MiraCosta College! MiraCosta College has made a commitment to creating a racially just campus and to welcome, nurture, and validate individuals and their identities and diverse cultures. As the Chief IDEA Officer at the college, my role is dedicated to championing these efforts in addition to our institutional goals centered on closing equity gaps and dismantling systems of inequity at the college. I work collaboratively with individuals, departments, and divisions across the college to center IDEA on an institutional level. This work belongs to every member of our campus community and is at the heart of MiraCosta’s mission, vision, values, and goals. Together, we can challenge and dismantle systems of oppression and create opportunities for all of our students to succeed, grounded in social and racial justice.
