MiraCosta College’s Oceanside Campus is located on a 121-acre hilltop site with panoramic views of the ocean and the mountains. The campus opened in 1964 and now serves more than 10,500 students each semester.
Offering a full spectrum of classes leading to an associate degree, certificate or transfer to a four-year university, the Oceanside Campus is home to several recently constructed or remodeled state-of-the-art facilities, including:
- Child Development Center
- Creative Arts Complex
- 430-seat Concert Hall
- Horticulture Complex
- Library & Information Hub
- Student Center, which houses the campus bookstore, the Kruglak Art Gallery, a cafeteria, and offices for student activities and clubs.
- 240-seat theatre
In addition to its credit program, the college also offers noncredit, fee-based Community Services workshops for enjoyment and skill-building.
The Oceanside Campus is conveniently located off Highway 78, and is easily accessed by public transportation such as NCTD buses and the Sprinter commuter train.

The San Elijo Campus is situated on 42 acres facing the San Elijo Lagoon in Cardiff and is located 17 miles south of the Oceanside Campus. Opened in 1988, the campus offers a general education credit program and a broad range of noncredit, fee-based Community Services classes and workshops. This smaller campus serves approximately 4,000 students in the southern portion of the MiraCosta Community College District.
The San Elijo Campus offers most of the student services available at the Oceanside Campus, including:
- Admissions & Records Office
- Counseling
- Student Activities
- Testing
- Tutoring
The San Elijo Campus also features a recently expanded Student Center, which houses the campus bookstore, cafeteria, Student Services Office and Health Services. The Library & Information Hub holds computer labs, and the math and writing centers.
The San Elijo Campus is located off Interstate 5 at the Manchester Avenue exit.

The Community Learning Center (CLC) is located in downtown Oceanside. This 7.6-acre urban facility is home to the college’s noncredit courses, including:
- Adult High School Diploma Program

- Short-Term Vocational
- Special Education
The CLC is located just east of Interstate 5 at the Mission Avenue exit, and is easily accessed by NCTD buses.

The Technology Career Institute in Carlsbad houses Community Education & Workforce Development, which offers a wide variety of fee-based classes, workshops and excursions, as well as our noncredit career training programs. Located within the TCI facility is the North San Diego Small Business Development Center, aimed at helping existing small businesses interested in expansion.
MiraCosta College offers a wide selection of credit courses that meet entirely online, as well as courses that are hybrid—meeting both online and on-campus. Successful online students are:
- Comfortable with using computer
- Highly motivated
- Independent learners
- Self-disciplined
Online courses are just as rigorous as those offered in the traditional classroom setting. Students access their classes via any computer with Internet access.
