Drop-In Sessions - no appointment needed
Drop-in support is the quickest and most popular way to receive assistance from tutors and writing consultants. Sessions typically last about 25 minutes, with wait times averaging less than three minutes. Students often have the opportunity to work with a tutor or writing consultant multiple times. Check the drop-in schedule by course to the left to see when staff are scheduled to support your course.
Appointment Information
MiraCosta students can schedule 25-minute appointments for tutoring or writing feedback in advance. Appointment availability is more limited than our drop-in sessions, so we recommend using the drop-in service if you need immediate support.
- If you cannot keep your appointment for any reason, please cancel as soon as possible and before your scheduled appointment start time.
- If you do not arrive within the first 10 minutes of your scheduled appointment start time, you will be marked as a "No Show," and your appointment will be canceled. If available, you can sign in to drop-ins to receive support.
- After three 'No Shows,' we'll have you connect with one of our operations supervisors before scheduling your next appointment to share the service options available to support you and your schedule.
