The opening date for the 2025-2026 FAFSA and CADAA has been delayed to December 1, 2025. This date may be further postponed, so please continue checking their websites for the most up-to-date information.
California Priority Deadline: March 3, 2025
- Students who apply by the California priority deadline get priority to receive state grants (more money). Students can receive thousands in money just by applying by the priority deadline.
- You can submit your application after March 3rd but may not have priority to receive state grants.
- State grants are only available to CA residents or AB 540 eligible students.
More Deadline Information:
Missed the state priority deadline? It's not too late to apply!
You can complete your financial aid application through the last day of the school
year or before the last day you are attending for the school year.
- For the 2024-2025 school year, the last date to apply for financial aid is June 31, 2025.
- You must submit your application before your last date of attendance in a school year.
- For example: If you stop attending May 2025, then you will need to have your application submitted before your last date of attendance in May. Contact the financial aid office for more information on this.
- If you applied for financial aid after beginning your classes, please know you can still apply and may still receive financial aid for those classes.
- As long as your classes are still within the current school year, you can receive financial aid for classes taken in a previous semester.
- For example, if you attended Fall 2024, and are attending Spring 2025, you can submit your financial aid application during Spring 2025 and possibly receive financial aid for Fall 2024.
