Tracking of savings to MiraCosta students enrolled in OER/ZTC classes began in 2016 and is incomplete. For 2016-17, 49 course sections related to the AB 798 grant were identified as saving students a total of over $240,000. These courses include:
- OCEA 101
- MATH 30, 64, 105, 106, and 270
- SOC 101 and 102
It is anticipated that this data will become more complete and more carefully tracked over the coming years. The OER Task Force may also set goals and conduct campaigns aimed at significantly reducing course material costs for MiraCosta students.
