Tom “Bones” Malone, trombonist, multi-instrumentalist, arranger & producer is best
known for his work with The Blues
Brothers, David Letterman Show and Saturday Night Live. Tom has played on 4,400+ television
shows, 3,500+ radio &
television commercials, over 1,500 recordings and thousands of live performances throughout
the world. Tom has done
2,700 arrangements for television. Tom plays trombone, tuba, bass trombone, contrabass
trombone, euphonium, bass trumpet, trumpet, flugelhorn, piccolo trumpet, alto sax,

Festival Schedule
- The instrumental portion for the Oceanside Jazz Festival will take place on May 3, 2025.
The educational festival is an all day event on the beautiful MiraCosta College campus overlooking the coast in Oceanside, CA. Each band will receive:
- 45-minute performance/clinic with three world-class clinicians. The structure is very flexible. Three performance tunes are suggested, but each director may divide their performance/clinic time allotment however they feel works best for their students.
- 30-minute warm-up
- A video of your performance and clinic in our state of the art facilities
- Written comment sheets
- Masterclass / Q & A Session with Tom "Bones" Malone
- Additional afternoon masterclasses and performances
- Invitation to attend Open Rehearsal with Tom "Bones" Malone on Friday, April 24 @ 6:00 PM
