Articulation is the process that links the curriculum between community colleges and universities so that students can transfer from a community college to a university without experiencing a delay or duplication of coursework. Articulated courses at MiraCosta are those that are identified by a university as equivalent or comparable to courses taught on a university campus. Completing an articulated course, for a specific major or for general education, enables students to satisfy a university admission and/or graduation requirement while at MiraCosta, prior to transfer. MiraCosta has articulation agreements with the University of California (UC), the California State University (CSU) and many private universities. Transfer Planning
Successful transfer planning involves developing an educational plan that includes completing articulated courses for major preparation and general education. Students are strongly encouraged to make an appointment at the Transfer Center or to meet with a MiraCosta Counselor to develop an educational plan.
