Carolina Rostworowski Stocco

Carolina Rostworowski Stocco is originally from Sao Paulo, Brazil, where she got her Bachelor’s in Journalism and a second one in Education. She also holds a Certificate of Psychology of Education. She grew up speaking different languages in the house, since her parents are from 2 different countries in Europe – being raised in a multicultural and multilinguistic environment instilled in her a natural curiosity towards languages, people and cultures. Carolina moved to the US in 2014 and got her M.Ed. in TESOL – Language, Literacy and Culture from the University of San Diego. She has been teaching ESL and EFL for over 20 years and has taught in different countries in South America and Europe. After falling in love with the California lifestyle, she joined MiraCosta College as a credit and noncredit ESL instructor, as well as other 2 and 4 year institutions in the San Diego area. Outside the classroom, Carolina enjoys travelling, cooking, reading, playing tennis, and riding her bike. She has 2 dogs that she loves to take on beach walks and hikes. She’s also been recently developing a passion for photography.
