The Supply Chain Management (SCM) program at MiraCosta College prepares students for entry into or career growth within the SCM field across many industries. Career options in SCM include positions in: manufacturing, operations, purchasing, warehousing, transportation, and logistics. This program also prepares students to obtain SCM professional certifications.

A strong demand in the region for supply chain professionals provides numerous well-paid job opportunities such as: buyer, demand planner, production planner, inventory analyst, logistics analysts, production managers, operations managers, supply chain analysts, supply chain managers, logistics managers, transportation managers, materials managers, warehouse managers, project managers, etc.

Every fall, BUS128 Introduction to Supply Chain Management is offered as a hybrid course that meets once a week and includes online learning materials. Check out this video to learn more about the course.

An Associate of Arts Degree in Supply Chain Management may be awarded upon completion of the certificate requirements (21 units) plus a general education pattern. Interested in getting a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management?
Students can pursue the Certificate of Achievement in Supply Chain Management along
with a Plan B or Plan C general education pattern. Students who are interested in
transferring to a university to pursue a bachelor’s degree in the SCM field should
meet with a counselor to discuss.
